You're already asleep.

The gross materialists are always asleep.

It's time to wake up .......

What are you talking about WB? Mental speculation requires a lot of wake-up-type energy. Clearly, it can't be because we are asleep, can it? By the way, over the course of my life, sleep has come up from being maybe my 15th favorite activity to number 2 or 3.

This may not relate to What is "Mind"? But yesterday I went in for a medical procedure. I was given propofal. It was an interesting experience that made me reflect on life and death and life beyond death.

Basically I had an IV port placed and seconds before the procedure the anesthesiologist gave me a dose of propofal. I was alive, in two seconds I was "fuzzy" and then nothing until I woke up 30 minutes later.

So death, we die and there is nothing. No mind, we are gone? Seriously, I was gone and if I hadn't woken up when the drug was taken away I was gone, gone, gone, gone. Black, void, nothing ever again, Gone.

It gave me a lot to think about the past several days. Like what if there is God. What if when we die we don't just disappear, are gone. What if when we die we wake up?

I think we wake up on a new plane of existence after we depart this life. Our mind is intact, just without our body. But maybe that's because I always have dreams like this when I finally get sleep after being profoundly exhausted, or go through difficult times and changes.
