and then invaded Iraq, who did not attack us
and cost thousands and thousands of US servicemen lives, three trillion dollars
and hundred of thousands of civilians dead and left homeless
so hard to figure out all the variables, attacked or not, Dem or Rep President ...
instead of all that thinking, why not blindly spit out partisan "talking points?
this thread is not about wars or who served in the military, it is about Bundy

Civil Rights Act 1964 started with RFK with JFK reluctantly going along because he was afraid it would cost him the racist South in '64. BUT JFK did propose it in a speech in early '63, sent it to the Congress. LBJ (Pres) pushed it in the house and an even stronger version was passed. To the Senate where it was filibustered by the Southern Democrats.
THEN Dirksen, Kuichel (Republican), Mansfield and Humphrey watered it down to get it through the Senate.
Yes, Dirksen helped get it passed. RFK/JFK/LBJ wrote it and made it happen.

Sure, throw in a climb too weather and time permitting (got a little shoulder twinge that put me on my bike instead of the rock today, but I'm hoping that's a short term issue).
