My stepdad channeling Slim Pickens on the deck of the battleship Iowa. Later the security guy in the background informed him that he was facing the wrong way. Obviously he hadn't seen the movie.

Bill Rigney was the LA Angels manager in 1964. That's him.

L to R. Everett Dirkson, John McCormack, Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey in the background, Bill Rigney.

Check my next post.

Little Joe,

Remember I was bat boy for the LA Angels in the Pacific Coast League when they were a farm club for the Cubs. I've never been a White Sox fan.

More trivia: I once was bat boy one game for the Oakland Oaks when Casey Stengel was the manager - that was an adventure!

Yankin your chain Don! I remember the Oakland Oaks games in Emeryville, got a fly ball there once as a kid...........I played catcher, only exciting place for me, lots of action and crazy times. Lots of WW2 history in that part of the Bay Area back then in the early 50s. Also lots of places to explore and get in trouble as a kid. Golden Gate Fields Race Track, Berkeley Marina and Dumps, Police Shooting Range.........Berkeley Pier.........

DMT, that's the Lid off of an old weed container. Bitd people used to wait till they were empty and then repurpose them to store photographic film.
