Seattle cheated.
They snuck in a Thirteenth Man at halftime.

What did I tell yous goons?
The Hawks' secondary is gonna school the K-bird.
Thank you.
And the Seahawks will run rough-shod over the Jackazzes who don't have half the Niners' D.

Everyone squawks.
It was sure a close one.
It was enjoyable.
It was like a good day at the crag.
It's like I told the guy, "Sometimes yer gonna live, etc.," at the Trophy Room.
A Rousing match.
Pip-effin-pip, mates...

Sorry but I for one am not impressed. Neither NFC team showed much to impress me. Reckless and rough shod defence will not be enough to stop the most potent offence in NFL history. If both of these teams could score so many points against each others supposed iron defence then their imagined prowess, like the KC Chiefs brfore them, is doubtfull and Peyton should be able to lay 4TDs and 40 points on the Seahawks.

Philo, the Hawks are gonna control the ball with Lynch so Manning won't get his grubby mitts on the ball that often. And he only managed 26 points against the Patriots' pathetic secondary.
Hawks 27. HeeHaws 24

Denver can slow/stop the Hawks' running game. Their passing game is not troubling, and Denver can get in on Wilson. So, the Hawks will put up some points, but they are not going to be able to handle Denver's offense, which is at a whole new level compared to anything these NFC teams have seen. And Denver is peaking (particularly the defense) at the right time.
Kaepernick was able to pass pretty effectively against the Hawks' defense, and he is NO Manning!
SF also made some amazingly bad time-management decisions in the last 45 seconds of that game. You don't go for the bomb with 2 timeouts left and while completing passes closer and closer to the end zone.
Today Denver played like it can dominate. The same cannot be said for Seattle. And bad officiating played a significant role in that Seattle win.
But, it's all talk for now. I'm happily confident through the next two weeks, though. :-)

w.r.t. two upthread:
Edge scores!!!! Whatever the outcome of the SB.
Oh, and the Hawks are likely going to have Harvin and therefore a hint of a passing offence.

The Seahawks have not faced a premier offence all year and Denver has won more games in the last two years than any team in NFL history. Sorry Hawks fans but defence wont win this championship game.

Its been a great season for the Hawks. Glad to see them Super bowl bound. And to think they spotted the Niners 10 points.

Phil, maybe I am not understanding you correctly, but I don't think that's true. The Pats went 28-4 over the 2003 & 2004 regular seasons, and won the SB both years. Am I misunderstanding you?

I remember Fox putting up a small graphic that I think Philo is referring to. It stated that Denver had beaten the two-year win-loss record with their win over the Pats. I don't remember what the numbers were, and it was only up briefly.
Actually, I HATE Fox's coverage! Their announcers are just terrible, and their graphics are often confusing and even misleading. And they figure out a way to PACK advertising in constantly with overlays, etc., even when having the overlay up cuts into seeing the start of the upcoming play. It goes on and on. So sad that they have the SB.
So, perhaps, perchance Fox just got it wrong.

Seattle finished the regular season 13-3 while facing the 11th toughest strength of schedule for 2013. Denver finished 13-3 while facing the easiest strength of schedule in the entire NFL for the 2013 season.
