By this time we were pretty knackered.
BVB had kept his scotch intake to a minimum,
I'd had one nice fat pipe load.

Time to get to work on Cali Knight:

That was about it.
It was getting late, Salad had already started the BBQ;
But, I hadn't yet done Robbins Crack.

How does a guy git off this thing?
You guy's 'l toss Tarbaby a rope when he tops out, right?

Gibson then says, by way of comparison to the day's efforts,
He says "This one will feel 'plush' "

(Nice lil' sequence by Off White)

And that was a pretty good play by play of our day, my second day ever, at Woodson.
Mission accomplished: get a bunch of old buddys together and get after it.
Ain't no better way to do it.

THANKS EVERBODY FOR THE MOST EXCELLENT MT WOODSON TOUR!!!

Though not driving further than anyone else, it was a long drive for very little vertical gain. Fueco and I barely got out of town before too late and hit madre's at a reasonable hour around midnight. Jumped up and hit the freeway before Scuffy's wake up call at 9am hit my cell phone.

Woodshun Saturday

We knew it was hot. The initial gather was congregating near shade and it wasn't even 10 after 10 yet.

No matter. After the initial 'heat check' at the Toaster and Slant Crack we meander up looking for meaty cracks...

Scuff shows off the latest fashions circa 'all back in the day and shit'

The photogenic Tarboussier

I said to Scuff "you should have seen Greg float this thing like an escalator...merely gliding up..." Inspired by the divine wide cracks does justice to it as well...

Whoa! Tennis Shoe justice?!

Fueco realizing just how warm it is on slick aretes...

instead... GET SOME!

speaking of Domes and Cracks... the Mother Superior...

Scuffy getting Horizontal

Rubidoux Sunday - we missed ya Rob, but it was toasty as Hades...

Fueco trying the Masterlock

Beehive Wall and Peace Bridge area to finish the heated day off...

the bees were still there after almost 20 years, someone get some Raid.;)

Great 2 days in So Cal.

The butt shot from Bat Cave is me, just before getting spit out
with lack of ceremony. Highly Scuff Resistant.
The best thing about Bat Cave is that it came just before
Maria's Delight. That one was my favorite of the day.

Edit: I have to say that the pic of me in Greg's Crack is
about 6 inches from my high point. I didn't come anywhere
near pulling that thing off.
Also, missed seeing Eric do the crux. He was already into the
squeeze when I first spied him.

Hey man, I'm still blown away by Tarbuster's accomplishments. Jaws, California Night, Robbins, Razor's Edge... This from a guy who is in pain most of the time in the forearm area and who hasn't climbed hard because of this condition for years.

Sheesh, gives me some idea of how good you must've been in the day.

Lemon Chiffon
Robbins Crack
Crucible
Never even tried any of them, but the day could hardly have
been any better.
No wonder you guys rave so much about the place.
