neebee - THanks for checking out the link!
Making pano shots is easier then it seems! Just take a bunch of pictures in a row however you want to stitch them together and take them to the proper program. When I take the pictures I like to include about a third or so what would have been in the previous picture into the next picture. This does cause its own difficulties but it helps me. Now there is a lot more of an art to it to get a "good" pano. But to start thats about all there is to it!

For PS CS4, the stitching appears to be done under Edit -> Auto-Align Layers and then going from there.
# Choose Edit > Auto-Align Layers, and choose an alignment option. For stitching together multiple images that share overlapping areas—for example, to create a panorama—use the Auto, Perspective, or Cylindrical options. To align scanned images with offset content, use the Reposition Only option.
Auto
Photoshop analyzes the source images and applies either a Perspective or Cylindrical layout, depending on which produces a better composite.
...
After auto-aligning, you can use Edit > Free Transform to fine tune the alignment or make tonal adjustments to even out exposure differences between layers, then combine the layers into one composite image.
For a video on aligning layers by content, see www.adobe.com/go/vid0014.
For a video on using Auto-Align and Auto-Blend to create a panorama and increase depth of field, see www.adobe.com/go/lrvid4120_ps.

I took five shots of Tom's of various parties on El Cap and Blended them together. It looks awesome but it's not my photo so I don't want to post it without his permission.

Pate - Which shot are you referring to? I can see them all on my monitor so I'm not sure which one you want resized.

Prezwoodz told me this thread was going on, so I couldn't resist dropping by. Awesome photos everyone! This is a great idea. Here's some of my stuff from this year in reverse chronological order:
Last week at Reflection Lake near Wasilla, Alaska:
Reed Creek in Hatcher Pass, Alaska, September 10th:
My wife Tracy rapping off the Dermatologist's Dream Wall, same day.
Hope climbing a 5.7 at Ravine Lake, Alaska:
Amos on the same route:
Tracy on the third pitch of an FA, over Lower Reed Lake, Alaska.
The Steese highway and a gazillion fireweeds leftover after the Central complex fire two years ago in one of many parts of Alaska on the edge of remote.
A small portion of the Crazy Mountain Complex fire near Circle, AK.
Annette climbs Physical Attraction in Archangel Valley, Alaska.
Sunset over the Crooked River at Smith Rock.
Fire department water supply training in June.
Melissa on The Slot 5.7 with Archangel Valley all around.
Knik Glacier near Palmer, Alaska - a favorite. It's 85 images and full-res there's an airplane flying by that's in two of the shots.
Joe nearing the top of Roadhouse Rock in Archangel Valley, Alaska.
Reed Valley, Alaska, before all the snow melts.
Greg waters down a hotspot in a dangerous snag in Homer, Alaska.
Tracy checks out the Knik Glacier, Alaska.
Sunrise way too early to be up in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.
Richard heads higher on Pioneer Peak, Alaska during some spring snowboarding.
Mat-Su Valley, Alaska.
Structure fire!
Pioneer Peak Alaska from the nearby Bodenburg Butte.

Okay, so here's 2008 in forward chronological order. I think this is when I caught the pano bug! This is all I've got though.
360 plus degrees from the summit of Castleton.
Kelsey on one leg atop Ancient Art.
An odd view of the St. Louis Arch, shortly before we got kicked out of the park. Evidently it's closed at night.
180 degrees of a Louisiana bayou outside New Orleans.
A lone remaining bald cypress in the Louisiana swamp.
Homero's in El Potrero Chico!
Kelsey's face is a small red speck rappelling from Supernova in El Potrero Chico.
Kelsey holds aloft a small Mexican flag as Tracy follows me up one of the spires in El Potrero Chico.
Kelsey and Tracy are specks in the distance at White Sands National Monument, New Mexico.
Sedona's dim lights are still enough to brighten the night sky.
It's a rainy day in Joshua Tree with visibility only a couple hundred feet.
The following morning is bright though!
One of the beautiful landscapes of Joshua Tree NP
Kelsey on T-Crack at Gibraltar Rock, Santa Barbara CA.
Redwoods tower over the highway in northern California.
This one is pretty sweet at full-res, 360 degrees of the redwoods with Kelsey wandering down a trail, too small to even make a pixel at this size.
I think that's most of all I've got, I didn't do much stitching before last year. Hope you all enjoy these!

Pate: Thanks! I used a 28-135mm lens, I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 70mm for those shots. Full res is great, I just have to go back and do it in good light now!

Not quite the Arrigetch, lovely as those shots may be, and not strictly a pano but pretty wide angle: Mt Humphreys....
