Travel route:
start Los Angeles - Ojai > one of the most beautiful places I've ever been camping no matter the season. If you're ever in southern California I definitely recommend here. Especially since its a hop skip & a jump from bouldering in Pine Mountain.
Ojai - Pine Mountain > probably my second favorite place to boulder (1st is Stoney Point) Even though I've only been there once I can't wait to go back. A nice variety of climbing difficulty, steepness and height. Plus, a gorgeous view.
Pine Mountain - coast - Gilroy to visit a friend > no climbing but still fun.
Gilroy - San Francisco > Also, no climbing but glad I went. I'm from the east coast so I've always wanted to go to SF. What a chill place to be.
San Francisco - Lake Tahoe > Beautiful. Camping was a little tricky to find in South Lake. Maybe because we were foreigners to the location. Lots of friendly people which is always nice to encounter in climbing. Only got to see one set of boulders (Pie Shop) but it was great. A nice variety of climbs..a lot of V2 range.. all bunched together in one easy location.
Lake Tahoe - Yosemite > One place I'd love to go back to when I'm ready for big wall. Did some bouldering which was a lot of fun. Camping..what a bitch haha. But a great location to check out if you haven't already.
Yosemite - Bishop > Sooo many high ball problems! A lot of fun though. I wish we had multiple crash pads with us because although the V1s weren't too tricky, they were just high and sketchy. I'm glad there was a nice scenic view of the snowy mountains. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the cold and wind.
Bishop - end LA > home sweet home. Back to Stoney Point and Malibu Creek for the daily grind :)
