Trip Report
A good summer in the Alps: high pressure all over and very stable conditions so far

this mean a lot of climbing possible...
altough getting father does not boost the climbing activity too much, something was possible and very enjoyable ;-)

on the easily approachable Sella Group on the Dolomites...not exactly the wild west but very good rock....

the Kaiser range, awesome gray limestone, full of cracks and with sketcy grading and placements...naturally cool with long approaches and descents.
and old classical

Thanks again Stefano for more Dolomites stoke. We did that Stenico-Fox years ago and endured the 4x4 jeep ride, but stayed in the Agostini hut. Good times except for lightning and snow high on the route.

I'm curious about your Mur de Pissadu Ottovolante route and have been curious about a photo I took some years back. This is taken from the Demetz N Ridge of the 2nd Sella, 3rd Sella Vinatzer face in the sun. The next ridge over has a climber visible at the top in profile and there is a striking tower at the end of the ridge. What are these two formations? Is one of these your Mur de Pissadu?

Cheers

The more I read your trip reports, the more I know I've missed out by never making the pilgrimage to the Alps. Thanks for sharing.

In reply to ddriver...

I don't know the name of the spire , but in terms of location it sits atop the Cansla sport climbing crag (the one with the yellow patch below and left) You get some good views of it, (the spire) from street view in google Maps, or Earth!
