Trip Report
Afternoon Nap, Shuteye Ridge
Friday May 31, 2013 8:49pm
I just went up last weekend and did this long easy route.
Had a blast. A good way to dust off the cobwebs and get back into the summer groove. I'll let the photos speak. Summer is here!

Tom,

This is a great route! I've done it numerous times in the last few years and it is my "go to" route for taking new climbers on their first multi pitch. The climbing is super straightforward, the belays are comfortable and you gain a lot of elevation in a short time. The best part is topping out with newbies that have never been to shuteye and watching their jaw drop when they see the view of the Minarets from the top.

Very, very cool...

I've only been to Shuteye once, but this area is accessed by a very different road than High Eagle Dome etc.?

Cool stuff. I've done a route on that massive face with a Shuteye regular. I think we did a new variation to the last two pitches or so of said route.

Forgot the name of the route we did. Maybe he'll chime in. You know who you are!!!
