Good shots, Tom and crew--now that "the road" issue has been solved, time can be spent climbing more and approaching less :-)

Things are still pretty nice up towards the top of the pass...the little bit of early season snow is gone, and things still feel very comfortable...this area should be climbable for awhile longer before we're forced into the lower elevations...

Hope you've been getting out...

pretty much...but we did check out some ridgeline stuff a bit further west...though it was at the end of the day. From pinecone jubilee we hiked west and upto the ridge. Some good looking stuff...but the camera was packed away at that point...maybe this weekend?

I haven't seen the forecast, but am planning on getting out a little bit. Molly wanted to go yesterday, but I was recovering from a nasty 12 hour bathroom bug and couldn't even lift a pad. Happy now, though.

Thanks Mark! Andrew is keeping the motivation high, that's for sure. Always fun to climb with him.

Moj, if you get out, go scope that west ridge top...there's this south facing problem, slightly overhanging with the big patina plates sticking out...one of the more aesthetic problems I've seen out there...and just below it(northside of the ridge) is a cool double saucer with good holds on the downhill side...always something callin ya back...

more Bourbons action and recent activity here:

decided to go to a blog since climbing topics sink pretty fast here, and it's easier for those not into searching through the st to find the photos etc...

what you think?

Quite right Mr. Kingsbury!
You must persevere to row your little boat through the scwhag & choss and continue to plant your flag on the victorious beachhead of the front page...

And yes you have to be cagey and employ tactics:

break up your story, nice bite-size pieces, and installments or whatever…
but don't let things go too long, in sales this is called “letting a lead go cold”
leave room for questions; when people ask a question that bumps your thread!
answer questions quickly, in real time if possible, keeping that personal touch (trick = biscuit)
wait till your thread just hinges on the abyss of the second page, then post post post
always try to nab the top of the 20 post segment: it's your ship, steady at the helm!!!

Blatant tactics to avoid:

creating a pseudonym, or bogus avatar to bump your own show
e-mailing buddies to help bump things, er, um this is kind of a gray area
(I’ve done it, once maybe twice, heh, but a good sport does this very sparingly, usually begging particular content)

I must say Roy, that is some key advice...sometimes I also wonder if I should continue an older thread, or start a new one...the thought being is sometimes people don't realize new photos are being added...maybe, or they just look and don't respond...tough to get people excited about pebble wrestling I guess...

More pictures please!

Since you're twisting my arm!

dood,

we don't care if u keep adding pix or start a new thread. as long as you keep creating actual content that involves climbing and especially when it involves climbing porn. granite porn, in this case, which is especially near and dear to the heart of most cali climbers.

except for you new jack/pinnacles sickos.

So humble Hutch, I've seen you get dynamic before...but it's true that you can usually find some crazy short guy static beta on most stuff...

not Lever Action though...that'll be a good trainer
