Beat The Crowd ! Memorial Wknd, Look Into The Little Eye
Tuesday May 31, 2011 12:53pm
Weekend Forecast, Occasional Winnebagos with increasing crowds in the higher elevations. Noise pollution with partly annoying kids in the next site at all popular campgrounds with a real toilet.

We made a conscious decision to take wind and sand for a little solitude.

We got it all. WIND.....SAND......SOLITUDE

The choice was made. Look into the little eye. Ojito.

For this expedition, we would be taking pretty much the whole fam damily.
Of course we had an adventure with the electric corral in the middle of the first night, but that's another story....

Zuni volunteered to guard the hay while we finished building camp.

Never go camping in the desert without your parachute.

But DO take care when gathering rocks to anchor down the parachute!

When erecting a flapping tent in the wind, be careful that the horses don't jump out of their skin, or you'll end up with naked horses!

Take a walk at sunset. All work and no play....sucks.

Excellent post BB. I need to come down for a visit some time. The kids are growing up too fast! I thought we were the only crazy people to take the bird camping with us. Lucy is doing fine and loves riding in the truck and camping. Your photos are awesome and your writings are as fun as ever. Tell Amber I'll send her a photo of Lucy. Take care bro.
