seeing as you all post stuff about remote far off places, i thought that i would post something closer to home. me and one of my freinds were setting up a new route called crack horror that is 3 and a half pitches long on a wall called the lower lump. we did and cleaned the first 3 pitches with no problem, rating about 5.9 or so. the last half pitch though we had problems. fist it was a lot harder, probably 5.10c, but at the top there was a very exposed mantle with a lot of sharp edjes that was very painful, but then our haulbag got caught on a sharp overhang directly below us. my partner had to downclimb the last half pitch, and then climb back up it with all of our gear on his back. after that was done our bolt driller wasnt working, being an old large gas powered one. we ended up stuck on that cliff till afterdark then finally got it started, then to rap down over the overhang and down to the ground. this however made a very good route.

i think you should call your new route "proper sentence structure".

Thanks for the post?

sorry, clint, there are no other established routes on the lower lump that i am aware of, either from climbing books or the other local climbers.

bj, i realize that there are people with more experience than me, what i meant is that i am posting what i know and that i have never heard of any other routes on the lower lump. and you are kinda being an @ssh*le about this. i would tell you what to do with your critique but that would be rude. and not only that i see fred and bruce every day. in fact i go climbing with freds son almost every day. thanks chirp.

what i meant is that you could have been a little more polite, and i did not realise that clint had wrote a climbing book of index. by the way, do you live in index?
