Cantabaco Exploring the Womb Cave

My wife and I moved to the Philippines seeking high adventure, much like Conan the Barbarian. After arriving in late May 2012 I began searching for someplace to get my climbing fix. It didn't take long to find Cantabaco, a small village about 40 minutes bus ride from the coast. Getting off the v-hire with our backpacks full of gear we were approached by Raymund Daculan unknown to me he was one of the local climbing guides. I asked him how to get to the giant cliff towering over the jungle. Raymund directed me to a path leading past nepa huts to a small river. Three bamboo logs formed a bridge to cross the river. The bamboo bridge e was narrow and bounces a little as the water rushes just a couple of feet below. Climbing a set of stairs up the embankment we enter the jungle path on the left. After a minute we come to a nepa hut whose property we need to cross to access the cliff (Na Meng's) we pay the required 5 pisos and continue into the rain forest. 2 minutes later we are at the base of the cliff. Here we were greeted by the local Cantabaco climbers who shared our passion for climbing, adventure, fitness, and friendship. We were amazed at the quality of the limestone, and I knew I had found my new favorite place on earth.
We return every week and there is a plethora of climbs at all grades to keep yourself stoked. As I began to get acquainted with my new friends we found out there was a cave directly behind the climbing wall. We all decided to explore the cave soon.
July 31 was a monday which made me especially happy because adventure seems to be a little sweeter when most everyone else is working. We brought our full packs of gear to climb after exploring the cave. Here is proof of our journey.

Sweet Limestone, eh? Very nice, man.
I, of course, can dig it.
No caving for me, thanks. I'm an outside guy.
I get claustrophobic in squeezes.....
