Castle Rock State Park , Idaho

Took a week trip to Castle Rocks state park, Idaho. We had a blast. I had climbed about 70 routes at City of Rocks over the years, but never at Castle Rocks. The climbing at Castle was mega-fantastic.
On the drive there, we climbed one day at Veyo, St. George, and one day at American Fork near Salt Lake City. It's a bit of a drive from Joshua Tree.

Great photos. I agree, Castle Rocks rocks! I liked in more then City of Rocks next door. Such interesting pinnacles and routes, and the rock is fabbbbbulous.
The Comp Wall is so wild looking, and historic in terms of climbing history, with one of the first contests there, and all the surrounding controversies.

Jim.......Castle Rocks is mega-fantastic......Love it!
Vacations are awesome..Climbing trips are wonderful. Traveling with my family is the best. I climbed in the AM early with my pal Jeremy..then spent the rest of the day with my family (sometimes we would go out in the evening too!...)......It's been an awesome summer;..THE BEST, actually!...
Now I am home in Joshua Tree...and this place is awesome too!.....

One of these days, my brother, we'll hook up in Josh. Always wanted to climb with you and the Josh gang. Especially with you and your kids and my boy.
