Because it's lonely out here in the wasteland without him !
Yeah, it's a trip report, because I've been on a trip of laughing over Captain...or Skully's posts for years now.
Somehow or other, he put up some threads or topics that weren't appreciated by the HAND OF DOOM. I really didn't see what happened, so I guess I'm open for some edu-ma-cating.
Apparently he thought it was funny, but the HAND OF DOOM didn't?
Anyway, all I know is that the vast majority of what I've seen from him has been really supportive of all climbing related threads. Very positive stuff.
Maybe he said something wrong on an OT thread, but what if he promises to be a good little pirate now??
He certainly didn't seem to be an over-the-top flamethrower to me.....

Just checked, and while Skully's profile does say "This member's account has been deactivated," there is no such label on Pate's profile.

This totally sucks, I have been on here for years and the guy SKULLY has never had a negative comment on any climbing related threads that I am aware of for sure!!! I try not to get on many OT's so I can't speak for those, other Than, "Show me what your building". The forum will be lost without our Captain!!! AAARRRGGG

That would be very disappointing if Captain or, Skully isn't on supertopo anymore-he is super positive and awesome. I can understand how he could get irked with the politic lunacy-I think it's wearing thin for a lot of people. If he got banned, that's just NOT RIGHT!

I have know the Captain for close to 20 years. Why did he get booted? That's bullsh#t.....He is one of the nicest guys I know.
Much nicer than me, as a matter of fact. Better person too...
I stand at the front of the movement to have him re-instated.

Beyond weird. What kind of system allows for the continued presence of people like LEB, Crowley, SUAP... and many others who do nothing but sh#t into our collective punchbowl, but kicks off somebody who is a regular (and positive) contributor to the climbing threads?
