I took my novice-climber girlfriend up the Leaning Tower - Part 2

This is a sort-of trip report (2/5 videos) coming out in the coming weeks. I was trying to free the Leaning Tower Westie Face (5.13a)
This was from my trip up to check out the route, all the videos together, particularly the last one will be useful for anyone wishing to free the route.

Mmmm I would edit it down to about one 13 minute video tops if there is action other wise I think Facebook might the appropriate venue. But always appreciate a TR so thanks!

You gots to spend the night standing in slings and have to prusik with knots. These porta-suites make it just to cushy. No chalk. Goofy boots.... haha.

I agree with PO. A couple of beers, a couple of granola bars, a couple of stirrups to sleep in and Korky Kor to cuddle with like my brother did back in 73.

I had a similar experience in 2011. It was my first wall and I soloed it in early April. I had it to myself. I was inspired by RR's book so I did the first couple pitches in mountaineering boots, used prussiks, and slept in my aiders. I was having some serious doubts in general, but specifically if I had enough water to finish the route. The first night sleeping in aiders I had a dream. RR reassured me and said he left a present for me. The next day I found two full gallons of water. It was probably the craziest adventure I've had. I think it took like 4 1/2 days. The descent was super snowy so I rapped which I found scarier than going up. Had to lasso that damn tree! Haha fun memories.
