Liberty Cap - SW Face in a day!
Friday April 12, 2013 6:09pm

|
My friend Hamik and I climbed SW Face of Liberty Cap last weekend. Please check out the photos/report on the blog, since I am literally running out from work, going back to Yosemite, and have no time to re-post the whole thing here :)
If someone is planning on doing it, watch out for a BIG loose block in a chimney (on top of pitch 6). It can kill your belayer, easily!

Big adventure guys! Lots of walking, rad views, sketchy climbing and boldness mixed in with some splitter action on a big ol wall with a cool name. Proud. Thanks for sharing! Keep it up!

Yea, it is quite nice mucci. Now I know why you go back haha.
Seeing a mole in the wild was awesome. No one I know (that I asked) saw one.
NIAD turned into NIAPush (we went over 24 hours, but didn't bail! It was a good choice to bring only 1 rope to avoid bailing lol). My partner's first time on the route (4th wall ever), and I was mostly leading pitches I didn't do on my first trip up. Few things happened that wasted a good amount of time. Still have a lot of room to improve on speed that's for sure. Was a bit cold and windy up there Saturday night, but not too bad.

Way to go man. One rope is ballsy! Hopefully we can get together for a wall soon.
