Trip Report
Michael Strassman Memorial Route, (AKA SUPERDIKE!!)
Sunday October 12, 2014 8:18am
Well, We left after school friday and me and Dave started the drive. we made it to the parking area and met up with Eric. It was about 9:30, we crashed right there with the alarms set at 5:00AM. So we woke up and were moving by 6:00AM After a little hike we reached this bitchen rock house! I want to go back and spend some time right there! Then we left the house and went up to our climb. about 3 hours after leaving the car we were at the base and ready to get our superdike on!

Climb was freaken awesome and very high quality. I would say it deserves to be in a supertaco guide any day! The hardest pitch was the last "10C" pitch as it was only a 1 move wander, it was in my opinion, 11A at least. The whole climb was characterized by a single dike that was, well, SUPER!

ended up to be 12 hours C2C

as for the pics, didn't get much video on this one...

By the way, If any of yall go climb this route, please bring like 6 quicklinks for the anchors. better yet, chains! because some of the anchors have either just hangers or just 1 set of quick links which makes the rope not feed well at all!

Great route! go get it!

Steve,
Sorry but we didnt do the FA or know mike at all... Just a bunch of noobs doing fun mountain project classics! He sure did sound like a great dude though and certainly a badass! He has a terrific route for a memorial that's for sure!

Good thing this route ended up being good because from that topo there's a solid $300+ worth of bolts! I couldn't afford to do FA's like that.

The route looks super fun, I'm glad you healed up and are back at the TRs, thanks!
