Trip Report
Peak 3986- The Forgotten Ridge V 5.10R Lone Pine Peak area
Sunday September 16, 2012 3:51pm
Amy Ness and I spent two days (Sep 11-12, 2012) climbing this long spiraling ridge. We managed to climb it in 11 very long pitches. The route had wide variety of climbing and terrain. We finished with an 800ft simul-climb to get the hell off. Worried about water along the massive hike up Tuttle Creek canyon we were truly surprised and over joyed when we found a seep of water coming out of the granite wall a few hundred yards below the start of the route. We sucked some granite slime and filled some jugs. The wall appeared to shrink as we got closer then only grew and grew as we started climbing. Here are some photos, topo, and route line.

Outstanding! Slime sucking picture is a classic (I might have opted for more close-ups). The route looks huge and foreverous. Did you pop the blood blister?

I like those pictures. I like line. I do wonder where the raspberry on Amy's jaw in the last picture came from.

The South side is mean texture, rips those ropes apart! Especially corners... man those will cut!

Gorgeous line! LOL on seep-suck pic. I can remember looking like that at the top of the DNB back in 1976 - with a dash of silverfish for protein....
