I know there are quite a few surfers and even sailors on here. Anyone else sail to climbing?
420 views - Coincidence? I think not

Quite literally the days would go like this: wakeup, drink a coffee whilst staring into the unbelievable blue depths waiting for the fog to lift from my brain. Jump in, swim a bit, take a mental note on the fish stocks for dinner. If swell - hike 15 minutes with appropriate board and surf brains out. If no swell - pick a wall to climb. Instantly, it would be dinner time already. Jump in water with polespear, choose most delicious fish to shoot in face. Maybe lobsters too. Usually took less than 15 minutes to capture the protein. Cook, eat, repeat. Sometimes I had to fix broken things. Sometimes it was a sailing day.
Glad you guys are enjoying the pics. The climbing really is worthy. If you go, you will have a blast.

Any sailors? Major off shore sailor here, a little surfing and SUP in Hanalei Bay.
No surfing here just looking for bergie bits on the way up Tracy Arm.
This summer hopefully, Tahiti, surfing yes.
Long range, Chilean Channel to South Georgia Island, climbing, yes.

TFPU you just made my work day a little brighter.

So how do you tack? Do you have to furl the sail? Thought you might ask that. Short answer is you don't in any traditional way. We can use the 2nd one, or you could use the forward one by furling it yes. We have some electric winches so furling it if necessary to tack can happen.
It is set up primarily for ocean cruising in potentially snotty conditions.
We have a Yamaha 33 that we use for day sailing or short coastal runs.
Here's a "live" thread about our last big cruise....Mike doing the Single Handed Transpac and then our trip to Alaska then down the Inside Passage. Lots of good pics.
I love what you've done and would like to do similar.
My "lust" is for a mini transat.

Tried climbing in Aruba years ago. The granite boulders mid-island were home to many goats. Not recommended. The bolted limestone was dirty. If you're sailing that way, it wouldn't hurt to stop, rent a scooter, and check it out. Bonaire and/or Curacao might be better.
Looking forward to more appetite-whetting for the eventual trip to Eleuthera. I don't think the ABC islands are going to compare.
