Survival, I am just going to kneel down before your awesome awesome photos!
For one thing, if I were to add other photos that would make me a bish, and for another, you broke the mold.

BISHin' pics.
Now that it is a National Park, does it count that the Black Canyon was a National Monument when I used to date her?

HA, great "Bishes" usage gang!
Philo, of course it counts. You know me, I'm just not THAT picky!
Reilly, thanks for the pix. Dude, you always come through.
I did the lizard just by "trickling" the sand out of my fist.

Nice! And Ed beat me to it - I have lots of slides from when Joshua Tree was 'just' a monument.

Don't remind me of White Sands. My truck blew up on the way there and I had to spend 3 days in Las Cruces hanging out at hotel bars with jukeboxes full of country-western pop. It was here I was actually warned not to "rock the jukebox" after selecting Cream. Yes, there are worse places than El Paso, believe it.
Great pic of the balconies formation, btw...

Haha, you bet! Do they still have the "F-ART" gas stations there?
You have me on one point: there ARE more topless bars and salvage yards per square mile in El Paso than Las Cruces...
Well maybe next time I find myself in Las Cruces, I'll look you up and you can show me its fair side! Deal?

Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument!
One of the first National Monuments, and more importantly, the nations first designated Wilderness area.
I'm so often wrong around here. I mistakenly thought there would be a lot more folks with photos of Nat. Monuments!.........

When I was working at Devils Postpile NM, there were some amazing old photos laying around of people climbing and standing on the columns. I wanted to lieback up that sh#t so bad.
evenings at Bear Crag were not bad either.....
'sign shop'
"you are gonna pay me for this?"
I had never been to the Eastern Sierra before taking a job at this tiny NM. One of the best experiences of my life.

So awesome you guys! Now we're getting somewhere.
El Morro NM, NM. was established just about 2 months after Devils Tower. It is home to thousand year old Indian dwellings and 400 year old Spanish carvings. It is also on the continental divide at almost 9,000 ft.
When I was a kid, I used to live just 10 miles away, ride my bike there and camp out with my dad.
Yeah, it's near Gallup, if you consider 65 miles near that is. HA!!
