Six months ago Lucas Dunn passed away at Tahquitz and a few of us got together to remember him at his backyard boulders for his 22nd birthday. He loved the bouldering in town and would beam with a big smile whenever we went out, even though he'd been there a hundred times. He loved climbing and sharing it with his friends, to see me struggle on the same stuff he'd had a chance to work on years before. It felt different, the problems not so tall and the moves not so foreign. I guess Granite has a way of doing that, feeling impossible one day and a breeze the next.
Hope you all enjoy, and if the big popular areas are wearing you down check the park out. It's pretty damn cool.
