To prep skully properly for his pilgrimage back to no dak I thought it would only be proper to take him ice climbing at 5am on the coldest day around here in a couple of years. It took all of this storms freezing power to freeze bridal veil this year after the 5 + feet of snow we got in early oct. That storm and the many days of 60+ degree weather has all of the creeks as high as I have ever seen them at this time of year. Well anyway the -15 temps certainly had it frozen. I think skully had a good time and got a good pump and I had to run to work.

Looks like good fun! I need to get over that way this winter.
Edit: The approach must be pretty chill, considering you can get laps in before work. That would be a change!

Beautiful ice flow if you lay your head on your desk to look at it.
Skully's face cracked me up. Like a little kid having the time of his life in the snow.

But...but...brrrr.
Kudos guys.
I don't think I've ever seen Bridal veil look that feathered out before. Must have something to do with the extreme quick temp changes.

Very very nice ice boys!! Great to see Skully getting out!! Thanks Mike!
Btw your pics can be straight if you either: turn photostream on and upload pics from that folder, or download photoshop express from the App Store so you can edit your pics before uploading them.
