Trip Report
Smoke on the water, Fire in the sky
Thursday July 21, 2016 3:10pm

Poor air quality, high temps, and some free time spurred a day trip to stretch the legs.
That doesn't look like much from here...
Might as well check it out...
Fire in the sky...
Captain Wee says rack up dude.
Splitter!
Follow me....
Snack time
Only climbed a handful of pitches before we had to rally the hike and drive home. The berries are almost in, they will be perfect next week...
Dogs are tired.
And back to reality for a spell.

Rick - Reed valley technically. About an hour walk from the car park. You should check it out. Super mellow splitters, freshly scrubbed.

Burchy, I'm sincerely sorry that your world is so sad that you feel obligated to talk sh#t about someone putting aside their desired climbing objectives in order to give a sweet lady with near zero crack climbing experience an opportunity to climb and learn on something that fits their ability and experience level. I hope your self esteem and self awareness improves, for your sake and the sake of your family.
You can send me a check any time.

Choss boss. About an hour from the car park. Water 3/4 up the gulley for the dogs. It was totally worth it to see the look on K's face when she finally started figuring out hand jams for the first time. And worth it for me to get out for a stretch of the legs and good flower sniffing session. Super mellow climbing, great for a lady that's figuring it out, and a salty f*#ker with a gnarly steam burn on the left hand from a salmon canning session gone wrong...
PM me if you want beta on the spot, or on the routes an hour further up the hill that are longer,(600 m) and 5 grades harder.

Right on! I hiked up last fall but haven't had a chance to check out the area since the completed gardening. Lots of rad looking stuff up reed valley.

Good report F. I almost asked if it was Reed instead of Archangel. I'm really interested in the 600 m stuff an hour further. Have any pictures or route descriptions.
