Over the last few weeks I did a bit more walking, some climbing and took photos of the stunning scenery. Compared to my attempts to get the stars in focus in Tehipete Valley, the few shots from the recent trip came out much better, which I am psyched about. Especially being able to capture the reflection of the milky way in a lake. Which is difficult, as the lake had to be completely still AND have the milky way above it. As I like to say, the stars aligned! As with climbing, there is a lifetime of progress ahead, as planned. Minimizing the amount of grain and editing the photos to their full potential will be the next step...some of the highlights include climbing a third previously unreported route on Mt. Whitney's East Face. This time between the Hairline and Direct East Face. The line is beautiful, the climbing was sh#t. The other two were much better, one of them already had two repeats, with positive reviews. Those are between If At First and Left Wing Extremist. When I have more time, I am hoping to make normal topos for the good climbs.
Day after climbing Happy To Be Here on Whitney, we did repeat LWE, which was an adventure! Did another route on the Arctic Lake Wall, climbed the Western Front on Russell, Tradewinds and Sunspot on the Hulk and finally hardened the f*** up and took a swim in Iceberg Lake. Which actually was one of the warmest lakes of the summer...warmer compared to the one Brian is jumping into in one of the photos below.
Sorry for the lack of captions, my lunch break is short. Back at work this week...Hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer! It is almost gone, so run the PDL and really go for it!

Was able to pick up shifts only for a week. Had to rest the body and the mind. And fix my car. Heal my heel a bit. And rest the right quad which was cramping with some of the larger steps up...#trainwreckv

The alpine, check the 4th post: http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/51093/Whats-left-to-do-in-the-Sierras

Long way in there, and the rock looked shitty. Or shitty enough that there are better things to do around.
