It seems like it would be pretty scary doing that straight off without having some time to get used to that exposure!
And who carried the black cat out to the spire? I think it's stuck under the rope....

Yeah but did he toss a baseball over the spire to get his rope out there?
Hope this dude has good sponsors. He could do a Vegas act for a living and make bank. I did the Tyrolean Traverse but I won't do the Austrian traverse.

Moab is one of the great highline centers, with all sorts
of really airy high lines across canyons. They are, of course,
cropping up everywhere. I have some footage of some of these
crossings, if I can figure out how to post a short clip.... My
friend here in Fruita, Terry Acomb, has wires between high
cottonwoods in his yard, an amazing slackline circus paradise
right at his home.

okay the bit in the video with him naked with the rope on his ankle makes you think of how f*#ked those consequences would be. i guess that is one way he trained. bad ass.

Highline play must be one of the scariest things I've ever tried! I could never get more than about 10 steps out there.
Serious Jedi stuff.
Very cool.

Donini, all highlines are solo but for those where more people
than one get on the line. It does happen. By solo, though,
there are different kinds. Most slackliners now use a harness
and a leash (trail a sling clipped to the highline, to catch
them). Free solo would be without the leash.

500+ foot slacklines is amazing. Would like to see how they get rigged, and an analysis of the forces involved. Wouldn't have thought it possible.

Did he go from the rim to the Arrow and back untethered or just one way. Amazing either way. Handling that kind of risk/reward equation is beyond my imagination.
