Don't know where to begin, but that pizza and then that incredible dihedral (what is that?) near the end alone make the look worth it. You guys know how to live!

ydp - it was a tease not to put the crag names in wasn't it? I recognized a lot of them, I think. The route I think you are asking about is pratt's crack in pine creek - one of the few offwidths I'm tempted to do. and the arete to the right is a 13.

Thanks for posting these. I love the east side. These pics trigger so many road trip memories for me, and make me look forward to some that will still be in the future. I've had lots of driving around and exploring with the kids during their breaks from school... but I've hardly climbed anything on the east side.
My dream retirement is splitting time between this area and Hawaii. But now have to figure out how to squeeze Northern Italy into the rotation too.
Edit: And I really want some pizza now.

nice bump for climbing! how did I miss this first time through?
Great photos but just a little too controversial, don't you think? (see threads related to "the truth about meat", "dogs at the crags" and "cattle ranchers vs. BLM". Oh yeah, and let's not forget "climbing bears"). Also too heavy on the marmots.

I have an un-spoken list of my favorite places in the world, and I've traveled widely. Bali, Phillipines, Thailand, Alps and Europe, Australia, etc...
Tuolumne Meadows is in the top 5. It's really close to #1. Kinda hard to explain to people. One of those places you just have to BE at.
Australia's Great Barrier Reef Islands are very close ( Lady Elliot Island, to be precise) is right up there. Another place where pics don't do it justice. You gotta feel the wind, smell the air, jump in the water.
Very cool TR!!!!
