Yeehawww! Man that sun was hot!

I'm currently stuck at work, but I'll post photos tonight.

And to add to what Mickey said, he meant that for the second gully rappel you will also want to hang the pig from your harness. The key is for the guy without the pig to go first and then let your partner know how it looks. EDIT: If you are going to send the pig second, then make sure you have cover or room to get out of the way if the pig dislodges any rocks coming down the gully.

Also the "last" rappel on bolts next to a tree that is supposed to reach the ground will not reach with two 60m. Rap from there, but stop at the tree with bolts to the right of it. This also makes it easier if your rope gets stuck (which ours did) woohoo epicing in the sun at the end!!! haha

Ok enough climbing already.. go get a girlfriend and a bad habit or somethin...

U R Making us look bad.

hahaha!

Seriously though thanks for posting all this.. it's reminding me what it was like to totally live for climbing and how much can be done if it is your burning desire.

Not too many of the new young guns are taking advantage of the net like you are these days.

Yep keep it up and you'll be right in there with all the badass new stuff getting done this generation!

kidz these daze. Don't you know you're supposed to tell us how much of a fright fest it was? Come on! Spice it up with some near death fabrications. All the smiles and giggles are boring.

Good on you for getting after it and having fun!

Here's my side of the story...

We climbed the tower and I didn't get a scratch, and then two days later I go skimboarding and this happens....

This was the first time Mickey and I climbed together, and it went really well. I'm sure we'll send more, and bigger, stuff in the future!

Just a quick add about this point:

"And to add to what Mickey said, he meant that for the second gully rappel you will also want to hang the pig from your harness. The key is for the guy without the pig to go first and then let your partner know how it looks. "

If you are in a gully of any sort it not a good idea to be below a guy rapping with a haul bag. The bag will dislodge rocks and whatnot and clang the guy below. If you are going to send a guy down first, be sure he can either get well out of the way or maybe even jug back up before the guy with the pig starts scraping down the gully. There are many ways to skin this cat with zero chance of anyone getting bonked by a rock.

Oh yeah lots of fun!

And very good point Russ. Luckily, I was able to find cover at each rappel station as he was coming down with the pig, but I totally agree with you. There are all sorts of death missiles hanging out in that gully.

Guangzhou said it.

Memories of we two watching RAIN while being dry,
Like RR on SOLO ONE, in the month of March, not July.

I want to ask why ever in July, but then I realize
To my surprise, that all these guys, won their prize

Due to being SToked like Casey Jones' boiler!

The fun is sometimes inescapable, even in adversiddy.

Being on that in the rain sounds wild, mouse!

We definitely baked a bit in the sun up there, but we did most of our climbing before the sun came over the top. After that wall we swore off walls until the fall when it cools down.... two weeks later we climbed skull queen.
