We were playing hacky sack in front of the Tuolumne meadows store one summer.
A whole bunch a Harley motorcycle bikers came riding in the parking lot and as the hacky sack got kicked at the feet of one biker.
The biker asked "What goes inside of these things" as he picked it up.?

Wrigley family wasn't dumb. I know. I went grunion hunting (why isn't it fishing?) with some of them at the Coronado Hotel beach in the 1950's.
However, sometimes their timing was off.

If you get bored with politics, try Googling "Cubs blueprint"
optionally include a city of your preference.
So while it’s a nice marketing technique to try to link the Padres to the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, the Padres are not following their blueprint. I’m sure they’d like to but unless Uncle Ron is getting ready to sign the two top free agents in consecutive years and commit $500M+ to free agents, it doesn’t look like that’s the path this club is going down. And minus multiple important, highly paid contributors like Jon Lester, John Lackey, Dexter Fowler, and Ben Zobrist, the Cubs aren’t a World Champion.
