Had a carabiner on my keys and I always clicked them up and under the wheel well of my van . For years I never took my keys on a climb.
On two occasions, after long days in the Mountains, I’ve returned to my vehicle only to find I had lost my keys. One trip up Mount Baldy in the winter I somehow lost everything that had ever existed in the pockets of my jacket- one of those gortex jackets with 73 different zipper pockets. My phone was gone, keys , old receipts, ID, phone numbers, spider webs - every pocket wide open and spit shine clean of all the contents. Climbed back up Baldy again the next day trying to find some remnant but in the deep snow it was all gone.

Gloves
Goggles
Skins
That’s our morning ski mantra, my kids have heard it from day one and still recite it to this day- 24 years later
