Avg time to climb route: 8-10 hours
Approach time: 4 hours Descent time: 5 hours Number of pitches: 16 Height of route: 1500' Overview
This is one of the longest and most classic High Sierra arêtes. The route ascends a striking arête for 18 pitches and involves mostly 3rd and 4th class climbing with a number of short harder sections in the 5.6-5.10a range. This climb is long and even fast climbers require a full day. The tyrolean traverse, although not mandatory, is the logical way to pass a large gap in the arête and the highlight of the route.
