Overview
A great introduction to Phantom Spires. Featured rock with a number of flakes to lieback, stem, or jam. The second pitch climbs the face left of a wide crack. Occasionally reach back in and place 2-4” cams for protection. Belay on a ledge after 150 feet or go all the way to the top in one 60m pitch. The featured rock with knobs, horns, and golden patina reminded the first ascensionists of gingerbread architecture—a style defined by gaudy ornamentation.
