Overview
South Central takes a line a hundred feet left of The popular South Face of Washington Column. It gets much less traffic than the Prow or South Face because it involves more wide free climbing (not fun when you are climbing "wall style"). It's ideal as a mostly free one day wall. Dean Potter and Rick Cashner freed the route at 5.12.
